One year ago since haniging the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. As millions of people, I cannot forget that day. It was Eid El Edha, people were celebrating Christams and we were on the edge to farwell 2006. "He deserved to be executed. But the time was badely chosen". These were my words to Mr. Leith Kebba, the former Iraqi government spokesman.
Saddam Hussein was a tyrant. His history is full of blod, killings, rapes, violences and wars. I cannot understand why many people like to make him a hero!!!!
I know that many of you will tell me: hey, look, when he was President, Iraq was stable and safe. Yeah! you are absolutely right. But I believe that he was also responsible over what is happening in Iraq today, because when he was president, he tried to diminish the shiite, therefore he created hate between Iraqi people itself.
In Lebanon, the representative of FATH, Mr. Abbas Zaki made tribute to SaddamHussein. He said that he was Iraqi's borne, but Palestinian's belonged. He made me laugh. PEOPLE, wake up. I was in the gulf during the invasion of Kuwait, so I witnessed the suffer of Kuwaities and Saudies. When the coalition bombarded Iraq, I was among the firsts to watch it live. My father waked me up late that night to watch the strikes in January 91 especially that by the time my family was in the region. Since that time I started following the news and the events and I noticed that Saddam Hussein never talked about Palestine. When the man discovered that he is going to loose the war and that many Arab and Islamic countries did not support his invasion of Kuwait as he wished, he started bombarding Tel Aviv and talking about Palestine in order to seek the support of the Arabic streets.
Like him, Hezbollah and Al Qaeda, are takling about Palestine today. My question to all of them: where was Palestine before? why you did not notice it? why you are talking about it today? is it really because the Palestinian Affair concerns you?or just before you are seeking the support and the sympathy of the poor Arab and Muslim streets to serve your political background?
Saddam Hussein made many mistakes...he killed thousands of people...he deserved to be executed: full stop!
من منّا لا يذكر اليوم الفاصل بين العام 2006 و العام 2007؟ من منّا لا يذكر كيف أن إعدام الرئيس العراقي السابق صدام حسين ألقى بظلاله على العالم العربي و الاسلامي أثناء الاحتفال يعيد الاضحى المبارك و رأس السنة الميلادية. بالرغم من أنني من مساندي إعدام الرئيس الراحل، لكنني كنت ضد التوقيت و هو ما قلته مباشرة للسيد ليث كبّة، المتحدث باسم الحكومة العراقية السابق. و لكن ما لا أفهمه هو لماذا يريد العديد منكم أن يحوّلوا طاغية إلى بطل؟
سيقول العديد منكم لي أنه الوحيد الذي استطاع أن يمسك بزمام الأمور في العراق و أن يحقق الأمن و أن يبني قوّة عسكرية كبيرة و أن يكوّن عددا من العلماء و أن يعلّم شعبه. كلّ هذا الكلام أعرفه و هو صحيح و لن أجادلكم حوله. و لكن، هذه القوّة العسكرية التي بناها، فيما استغلها؟وهؤلاء العلماء، فيما استغلهم؟ و ذلك الشعب المتلعم، فيما استغله؟ لقد كان يمتلك ثروة بالمكان استغلالها لما فيه خير الأمة العربية و الاسلامية و لكنه استغل كل ذلك من أجل خوض الحروب و التسبب في شرخ الصف العربي. إن ما نعانيه اليوم من انقسام عربي كان سببه صدام حسين و غزوه للكويت و ما من أحد يستطيع تغيير موقفي. حتى الوجود العسكري الغربي لم يكن موجودا في السابق لولا ما قام به صدام حسين. لقد أخطأ كثيرا و كان لا بد من محاسبته مهما كان الثمن و ذلك هو جزاء كل طاغية
ممثل حركة فتح و السلطة الفلسطينية بلبنان السيد عباس زكي قال في احتفال تأبيني لصدام حسين أنه كان عراقي المولد و فلسطيني المنشأ. و الله الأمر مضحك و مبكي في آن. المتابع لحروب الخليج و من منكم يستغل ما أعطاه الله له من عقل و دماغ، و من يميّز منكم، سيلاحظ أن صدام حسين و أمثاله، مثل بن لادن و القاعدة و حزب الله، جميعهم لا يتحدثون عن القضية الفلسطينية، إلا لحظة يشعرون أن البساط بدأ يسحب من تحت أرجلهم و أنهم بحاجة للدعم و التاعطف الشعبي. صدام لم يهاجم تل أبيب إلا عندما أيقن أن دولا عربية و إسلامية عديدة لا تشاطره الرأي و أن انقساما حصل بالشارع العربي و الحل الوحيد حتى يحصل على دعم الجماهير العربية و حتى يضغط على الحكومات العربية هي باستغلال القضية الفلسطينية
توقيت العدام لم يكن في محله...نعم و لكن الطاغية كان لابد و من أن يلقى ذلك المصير عسى أن يكون عبرة لمن لا يعتبر
