In the last three days, I assume, Israeli citizens were surprised of seeing almost 57 flags representing the Arab and Islamic countries, published in some daily Israeli newspapers among them of course the Tunisian flag. In fact, in order to push forward the Peace Process, the Palestinian Authority has chosen to address the Israeli public directly by using the Israeli media. The Palestinian Authority has booked pages in many Israeli newspapers by virtue of which it clarified the Arab Peace Plan made during the Arab League Summit held in Beirut in 2002 according to which the Arab world, under Saudi Arabia proposal, accept to sign a peace treaty with Israel (in addition to the Islamic countries), once Israel withdraws from the colonised territories and once the Palestinian State is declared. I have appreciated this step but what I have appreciated the most is the fact of seeing the Tunisian flag in the Israeli newspapers.
