APPROPRIATE - INAPPROPRIATE TIME!

" It is inappropriate time to cease fire", said Condolezza Rice the US secretary of the US department of State. So my dear Condi, when it will be the appropriate time to do that? After destroying all Lebanon? After killing more and more innocent civilians?!
After Kana's massacre & after the official refusal of the Lebanese officers to meet with her, my dear Condi has canceled her short visit to Beirut and she starts talking about "the appropriate time to cease fire".

WATCH LEBANON BURN...

"Hi,

Please help us show the destruction and the misery on the ground. Take pictures or short clips of your daily life during the israeli attacks with your cell phones, cameras, or any other media or if you have received any pictures showing the war from a lebanese friend or a person living in Lebanon & and send to watchlebanon@gmail.com. They will later be posted on_________ to show the world what is reallyhappening in lebanon on a daily life basis. Shoot anything around you, falling bombs, refugees, supermarkets, trucks, stairways, fires, people running in every direction, empty streets, birthdays in shelters, destroyed cars, buildings, cars in a line at gas station, people standing in line to buy bread. In a word document your daily life... and show the world everything. Israel has convinced the whole world that our lives are worthless, that our children are natural born terrorists. They have convinced the world that we deserve the punishment. They show images from Israel that would break your heart. Then for a few seconds, they show images from lebanon, the same ones, over and over every day, the ones chosen by their media, the ones that show destroyed buildings or some smoke from far but never a human life. Please act now before we become like Iraq, a death score for 10 seconds before the meteo on their daily news. And this can happen very soon after the foreigner evacuation ends. Please forward to anyone in the country.
In solidarity,

Siba H. Maraachli. "

A LEBANESE EMAIL

FAITES CIRCULER

Explique-moi!

MALEDICTION...& AN ISRAELI EMAIL RECEIVED..

(mon email initial) "Dear xxx,

I hope that you and your family are fine within this new problems in the Middle East.
I will talk with you frankly. In fact I believe that we are friends.
I disagree with the Israeli government policy towards the Palestinians and the Lebanese. I believe that we, the Arabs, we missed many times to establish peace with you, but the Israeli's military operations are with no ground. If three Israeli soldiers are captured, what would we say about thousands of Palestinians and Arab civilians in the Israeli prisons?
I am a big supporter of peace, I want one day to visit your country, as well as I want to viist the State of Palestine, I was all the time defending Israel and the peace, but today I feel very ashamed and embaressed in front of my friends. I can not defend Israel and the USA, because they are not respecting the International laws and the international conventions and good behaviors. I am in a critical postion more than the Israeli themselves.
I hope to be one day in a position from where I could change things and I could help in bringing peace to your region so that your children will live in peace and safety, playing football with teh Palestinians and spending the holidays on the Lebanese beach.

May God be with you.

Legend of the Fall"

(the idareli email) "Dear xxxxx,

This is the first time I cannot agree with you. I am definitely against this violation but, as a left-wing Israeli, I feel wormed. What else do the Arabs need from us except for leaving our country or better for the to be thrown in the sea? We left Lebanon, and that only enabled Isabella to get to the current situation where they attack us just as they did before we started the Lebanon war. I was against that war than and I was for the leaving of Lebanon, so what should I tell my friends now about it?
the same is Gaza: I was for the detachment. We left Gaza. And what to we get? The Hamas is able to be better equipped against the Israeli Soldiers in our board. What do they want? They want us dead.
I think we proved already our will to leave in peace but in safe borders. Hamas and Isabella only wants the Jewish country to be erased.
How would you suggest us to react?
I am very sorry that the media shows only the Lebanon side. Here in Israel it is a war. I was working today with my statistician from the north, and every certain e-mails she wrote me she is sorry but she has to go to the shelter.
I am very sorry that you may get only part of the picture and I am very upset and without hope for a peaceful future here in the middle east. It seems that the cultural gap between mentalities as well as believes, and the fact that the Hamas Hisballa, Syria and Iran link won't be in peace until they delete us from the map, and even worse, the fact that they convince even intelligent and sensitive individuals like you, in a demagogic way is very discouraging.

SAVE OUR HONOR...

Over a telephone conversation with my friends in Palestine and in Lebanon, I have felt what circumstances they are living. I was online with my friend Siba when the israelies where bombarding nearby her city, northern Lebanon. From the other side, my friends Mohammed and Mahmoud in Gaza, were living without electrecity, no petrolum, no gas, the life was paralized there. I do not know when the Arab and the Moslim world will take a positive step to stop teh Israeli's military operations. It becomes very clear that Israel is not respecting the international law and I become more and more ashamed, because as someone who belives in peace, I have no argument now to support the peace process in the Middle East. But sorry to say atht we, the Arabs, we have missed many occasions to establish peace. Now we are just paying the bill. Citizens, wake-up from your asleep, try to change things, go down to teh street if necessary, save your honor, independence and freedom is with a price, with a blood. some have to pay their lives tp bring it to the other. Many people died just to allow the next generation to live with a pride, the pride that some follows stole from us, wake-up!

40e Jour...40th Day..In loving memeory of my Father

This Sunday July 9th, 2006, we will celebrate the 40th day of the death of my father. He left us in a morning of sunday 4th of June 2006. It looks like if it was a bad dream, not a reality. It is life and we shall continue looking to future. Never did think one day that I will talk about my father using the past. It will be hard to me when I will write a thanking in my thesis to my lovely dead father who will not attend it.
I want to thank all the persons, family, friends and neighbours who comforted us.

ILYAS EL HERAWI...1926-2006

The thenth Lebanese President Ilyas El Herawi has died last Friday. Lebanon has declared a three-day-mourning and flags are at half-mast.
Ilyas El Herawi was a very brave man. One of his famous sentence was when he left the presidency. He said to the Lebanese: "I received a country from the past. Today I leave you a country with ambitions to good future".
Ilyas El Herawi was a great believer in the unity of the Lebaneses without looking to ethnicity.

WORLD CUP IN LEBANON...

My friend from Lebanon has sent me this picture of lebanese balconies and windows putting flags of the participants countries in the WC Germany 2006. It depends on what team are you supporting. The majority of the Lebanese are supporting Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Saudi Arabia. Thousands of Lebanese are attending the different matches in the downtown center of Beirut where a giant screen is established allowing the Lebanese to follow the World Cup.
Many times during the African Nation Cup Tunis 2004, I asked my friends to go and to follow the matches through the giant screen established at that time in Avenue Habib Bourguiba, I believed that that will give another taste specially when celebrating the Tunisian success with thousands of Tunisian people, but they refused. I DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE TUNISIAN MENTALITY AND WAY OF THINKING WILL BE CHANGED.

GO..GO..USA..GO..WC GERMANY 2006..

The match opposing USA to Italy, was magnificient. Although USA was playing with just 9 players (Vs. Italy with 10), USA presented a threat to Italy many times. Squadra Azzura with its stars and beautiful players, was unable to defeat the US falcons.
Yes and sorry to say, I am supporting the American team. They gave us a good match. Good Luck America.

NO..MY FATHER STILL ALIVE...

I do not believe that my father has died. It seems that he is with us. Sometimes I forget that he has died, but the official papers of his death bring me back to the real facts.
Before, when my father was alive, I did not see him a lot. Regarding his responsibilities, he leaves home early in the morning, when I am sleeping and at night, as I go out with friends, when I go back home, my father is sleeping. So things did not change a lot. The absence of father seems like if he is working..the only new circumstance is that he will never come back from his work :(

TUN - KSA (2 - 2)

Tunisia and Saudi Arabia football teams has ended the match 2-2. Tunisia was the first to make a goal recorded by Jaziri. But as usual, Tunisians did not continue the leadership. It was obvious that the Saudi's have plyed better than us. Now we have to focus on the next matches versus Spain & Ukraine and we have to stop regretting that we have lost the winning of the match versus KSA. In fact we were lucky to make our second goal before the end of the match. What's a pity! In the begining of teh match we were looking to win, at the end we were looking to equalize the result.
